The Lincoln navigator and its medical team are preparing to launch its new portal, a new system to help people get medical advice.
The portal is scheduled to launch on Tuesday, with patients able to log on to get access to a range of resources and information.
“This is the first time we have been able to build this system,” said Mr Kelly.
“It is a new platform, but we are working with the Medical Council to ensure it is secure and secure as a medical information network.”
We will have the opportunity to provide some additional support, and if there is demand we will be able provide some support to our patients and their families as well as other stakeholders.”‘
The system works well’The Lincoln navigators office is based in the University of Auckland, with staff working from their home base in Christchurch.”
The office is very centrally located and the people we work with here are all very well respected,” Mr Kelly said.”
They are all really enthusiastic about the system and they are very happy with it.
“If they can help people, then that’s a good thing.”
The system, which is being developed with a partnership between the University Health Network and the University and the Medical School, includes a “virtual physician” who can speak with people in the community.
“As well as providing some information on what is available, we are also going to be providing some clinical advice on the patient and their conditions,” Mr McAllister said.
He said patients could also request referrals for specialist services.
“I am hoping we will see a number of patients who might have had problems accessing specialist medical services before, but who may have had some difficulties accessing the new system,” he said.
Mr McAllisters team has already received “hundreds” of calls from patients wanting help with their health.
“Many of the calls are about their health and their symptoms, and there are a number who have been unable to get to the GP or have been left out of the system altogether,” he added.
“There are some patients who have had a heart attack or a stroke, or have just had a stroke.”
Some people have had difficulty swallowing, they have had an eating disorder or an anxiety disorder.
“Mr McAulands team has been in contact with many of the people who have used the system.”
So far there has been an overwhelming response, but there will be a few surprises,” he told reporters.”
People who have not been able, we want to encourage them to call us.
“He said the new portal would be used to provide information about how the health system works.”
You can find out more about our website, how we are funded and how we operate and how the patient can access the services we provide,” he explained.”
These are the things that are going to give people a better understanding of what we do and what we are trying to do.
“To be honest, it has been difficult to get patients to sign on for the portal because we are only able to contact them through the Health Services New Zealand portal.”
But, with the new portals we will now be able, in partnership with the New Zealand Health Service, to be able give patients a better insight into how they are accessing our services.
