The question, ‘Can I access my account?’ has been submitted to the Bank of Melbourne (BMC) as part of its ongoing investigation into the Bank’s customer service practices.
“Are you able to access your bank account on the mobile app?,” the reader asks.
BMC replied: “We can’t currently access your banking account on mobile app because it is currently not operational.
As the app is currently in development, it is not yet operational, we will work with the customer to enable access.”
Reader asks if the problem is related to his account, is he still a registered member?
The reader says: Yes.
However, the problem has continued to persist.
He says: “I’m not sure if I’ve been able or if I can get the account open, but I haven the email address to make a complaint.”
BMA said it had been in contact with the reader.
“It’s unfortunate that the Bank does not have an on-site chat feature for their mobile customers.
If you have a problem accessing your account, please contact us via our customer services line.”BMA spokesperson Michelle Smith said customers could use the BMA mobile chat app to report issues.
She said customers had the option to submit a complaint online.
